Man dies after being struck at Doral bus stop
Car accidents involving pedestrians are more common than anyone wants to acknowledge. Most people in Miami assume that they are safe if they are obeying pedestrian traffic laws and not lingering in the street. Sadly, this is not always the case. When a car does collide with a pedestrian the outcome is often catastrophic due to the individual’s lack of protection. Earlier this month a 67-year-old man was killed while sitting at a bus stop

When a person sustains a brain injury, the effects are often long lasting. The individual may visually appear normal while actually suffering from a change in personality and mood. The person’s ability to communicate may be impacted as well. These changes can lead to a person not responding to authority such as police officers the way someone who has not had a brain injury would. Police in North Miami Beach recently experienced this firsthand after

Often when one thinks about teens and brain injuries it is in the context of concussions incurred by teen athletes while participating in a team sport. Of course, that is not the only way that teens end up with injuries to their brains. Car accidents are another major cause of traumatic brain injuries, (TBI) to teens throughout Florida.

Fire trucks usually appear within minutes of being called to the scene of an accident. After a crash occurs it is not uncommon to hear the sirens and see the flashing lights of a fire truck rushing to the scene to assist. This was not the case last week in Miami Beach when a fire truck was on the scene immediately after an accident occurred as it was actually a part of a crash with

There are many benefits to using buses as transportation. It is less expensive than driving and allows passengers to relax rather than deal with the stress that can accompany driving a car in traffic. When one sets foot on a bus, those stresses of driving are transferred to the driver who is responsible for the safety of all passengers. Earlier this week a crash involving two buses occurred on Southwest 288th Street and South Dixie
